Ian Cox-Leigh: Guggenheim – Distort

This is just a short note to say that this blog will be quiet this week because I’m off to New York: Monday until Thursday.

Plans, such as they are:

Go back to the Met, MoMA, and the Guggenheim.
See the exhibit with Michael Kenna (and others) at Robert Mann Gallery.
Maybe go to the Brooklyn Museum, or the Whitney, Or the Aperture Gallery.

Explore beyond Manhattan. Drive around Queens and Brooklyn.
Maybe get to Old Calvary Cemetery.
Maybe go to Roosevelt Island.
Maybe go back to the Bronx Botanical Gardens.
Maybe try some NYC night photography. Maybe try for the GW Bridge at night.

Dinners: Mary’s Fish Camp, Eleven Madison Park, The Modern at MoMA.

Go to BH to buy lens, ink, printer supplies, and so on at 30% less than in Toronto.
Buy Vya vermouth and Camparo Antica vermouth. Maybe something else.

Drive home through upstate NY or Vermont.
Spend the night in the country. Maybe shoot the Perseids. If weather cooperates and available foreground/silhouette is found.
Consider entering Canada in Quebec to avoid 8% PST.
